The Rostechnadzor-certification (RTN) is an operation licence. It is to be issued if machines or equipments constitute potential danger or if these are used in the underground, in smelters or petrochemical production facilities.

RTN accreditations can be issued only by the Industry Control Authority of the Russian Federation that is responsible for development and compliances of security and quality standards. RTN accreditations are needed for production equipments and facilities, valves, pressure vessels, equipment of chemical industry, equipment for crude oil and natural gas transportations, equipment for mining, explosive secure equipments, gas consumer installations, gas distribution systems etc.

A GOST-R certificate is required for a RTN accreditation. This accreditation is to be issued before commissioning.

RTN accreditations can be issued either contract related or with a validity of three years.

The issuing of RTN accreditations takes approx. 2-3 months.
